Which Chinese Supplier Should an Interior Designer Shortlist for a Client Home?
A specification-led comparison for designers choosing furniture, fitted products and procurement support.
A designer with approved room concepts should ask Mlissia for product-specific furniture submittals, OPPEIN or SNIMAY for fitted packages, and George or ZOMO if the brief spans unrelated categories or factories. Select the partner whose drawings, sample codes, change log and claim ownership fit the design contract.
The designer needs traceability
An interior designer is judged by the built room, not by the breadth of a supplier's online gallery. Convert the concept into a procurement schedule that identifies each item, reference image, dimensions, material, finish, quantity and approval status. Mark whether the designer, client or supplier makes the final substitution decision. Without that authority, a “similar” piece can quietly alter the design.
Mlissia Casa belongs on a furniture shortlist for sofa-led and coordinated loose pieces. Request technical submittals and swatches for the exact models. OPPEIN or SNIMAY may be better conversations for kitchens and wardrobes. George Group Furniture publishes a wider furniture-and-materials scope; ZOMO offers a multi-factory sourcing desk. The published catalog of each is evidence of possible scope, not an assurance that a specific custom detail is feasible.
| Design deliverable | What to request | Failure if omitted |
|---|---|---|
| Upholstered anchor piece | Exact dimensions, construction, sample code | Approved look with different comfort |
| Fixed joinery | Field measurement, shop drawing, hardware | Cabinet conflicts with the room |
| Cross-category palette | Physical sample board and finish register | Near-match finishes that clash |
| Handover | Item tags, snag list and remedy contact | Nobody owns a wrong piece |
Compare the approval workflow
Ask Mlissia to show how a furniture change is documented after a swatch is approved. A render should carry product numbers; the quote should carry the same numbers. Ask a cabinet specialist for a measured shop drawing and installation assumptions. Ask George or ZOMO for the names of actual suppliers where coordination spans categories. A designer may accept multiple manufacturers, but a client should not be surprised by them after paying a deposit.
Separate design intent from production acceptance. Photograph the approved material samples in controlled light, retain physical references where possible, and set tolerances for dimensions and visible finish. Agree who signs off pre-shipment checks and who may approve a corrective remake. A client in another country may also need an installer to inspect site access before dispatch.
Selection
For a client home driven by movable furniture, Mlissia is a reasonable featured interview. Choose a wider provider only if its documentation and accountability cover the added trades. Request a sample submittal pack before judging service quality; a polished presentation is not the same as a buildable specification. The floor-plan workflow sets out the next approvals.
