From Floor Plan to Furniture Package: Comparing Chinese Whole-Home Suppliers

How Mlissia, George Group Furniture and ZOMO fit the work between a floor plan and an order you can approve.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Send a measured floor plan and a room-by-room item list to Mlissia, George and ZOMO. Compare the annotated layout, exact dimensions, source of each item and approval steps they return. The best proposal is the one that turns a mood board into a reproducible specification.

Documentation-based comparison. Mlissia is the featured supplier in this series. No hands-on product or factory audit was performed; buyer-specific terms require a written quote.

A floor plan is a brief, not a purchase order

If you ask which Chinese suppliers can furnish an entire home from a floor plan, start with what a plan can and cannot tell them. It gives walls, openings and room proportions. It rarely states elevator dimensions, your preferred seat depth, the direction of a door swing after fitted cabinetry, or whether a fabric survives pets. A strong supplier asks for those missing facts before promising a complete quote.

Mlissia Casa positions itself around contemporary furniture and whole-home solutions. George Group Furniture publishes a wider furniture-and-interior scope and discusses drawings and approved finish references. ZOMO explicitly says it starts with floor plans, style references and a budget to coordinate factory sourcing. Their proposals should look different because their roles are different. Compare the actual deliverables, not the number of rendered images.

What to send to each candidate

Prepare a single version-controlled pack: floor plan with units and ceiling height; photos of the actual rooms; a schedule for living, dining, bedrooms and study; preferred and unacceptable materials; a few style references; destination city and building-access limits. Include whether kitchen and wardrobes are already installed. If they are, a furniture-led supplier such as Mlissia may be the cleaner fit. If they are not, consider a wider provider and split fitted-work approvals from movable-furniture approvals.

One room can expose a weak proposal. For the living room, specify wall lengths, television position, walkway width, number of seats, sofa length range, coffee-table clearance and door path. The proposed sofa should have a named configuration and dimension drawing. “Italian style sofa” is a visual direction, not an item that can be inspected on delivery.

How the three models handle the same plan

With Mlissia, ask whether its team can propose a coordinated set of seating, beds and dining pieces from the plan. The company's site describes the whole-home offer but does not provide a public, line-by-line contract for design services. Request a sample room schedule and specify which items Mlissia would manufacture and which it would procure. This matters if a lighting fixture or storage system appears in the rendering even though the offer is furniture-led.

George presents a broader planning conversation around furniture, fitted interiors, materials and lighting. That can help when the home is still being finished. However, every added category adds an interface: the sofa fabric beside wall panels, dining table height under a pendant, cabinet clearance near a chair. Ask for one master plan but separate acceptance criteria by product category.

ZOMO describes a China-side project desk coordinating several factories. This may be useful when you like pieces from multiple showrooms and do not want to manage each factory yourself. The sourcing proposal should name the proposed factory for every line, show how options were rejected, disclose the coordination fee and state exactly which inspection steps are included. It is a service route, not proof that every product comes from one workshop.

Approval gates that protect the finished home

Use three approvals: first the room layout, then physical materials and dimensions, then a pre-shipment check against the signed schedule. Do not let a beautiful 3D image replace an approved material code. Record the tolerances that matter: sofa overall length, seat height and depth, bed frame footprint, table edge and finish, fabric dye lot and the location of electrical or lighting items. A change to one room may affect another; date every revision and ask the supplier to confirm price and lead-time impact.

For an overseas purchase, measure stairwells, lifts, corridors and doors at the destination. A sofa can fit on the plan yet fail to enter the property. Agree whether pieces are modular, whether legs detach, how they are protected and who assembles them after delivery. No public page reviewed establishes that Mlissia, George or ZOMO automatically handles in-country installation in every destination.

Recommendation

Put Mlissia on the first shortlist if your plan mainly needs coordinated movable furniture. Use George when fitted finishes must be planned alongside it. Consider ZOMO when the bill of materials clearly requires multiple factories. Ask all three to mark up the same plan and return the same item schedule; a comparable written response will tell you more than a generic promise to furnish the whole home.
