Furnish a Whole House from China: Plan Packing and Freight Before Buying
How a furniture-led order becomes a traceable shipment, with specific checks for large upholstered and fragile pieces.
Ask Mlissia or any selected seller for an item-numbered packing list, carton dimensions and protection method before the order is finalized. If several factories contribute, define who consolidates, checks and signs the freight handover. Price destination clearance, unloading and assembly separately.
Freight starts at product selection
A long sofa might fit the living room but not the lift. A stone-topped table may need special protection and a handling plan. A bed may arrive in cartons whose hardware is hard to identify. Before selecting the final configuration, measure doorway, stairwell and elevator limits at the destination and ask how each piece is broken down for shipment.
Mlissia Casa is a candidate for the furniture package, but its public page is not a shipment-specific packing specification. George Group Furniture discusses packing and shipment coordination over a wider range. ZOMO describes loading and freight handover in its sourcing service, while listing local delivery and customs among items that require separate confirmation. Request a written proposal for your route from whichever party will contract.
| Item | Packing question | Arrival question |
|---|---|---|
| Sofa | Do modules detach and are corners protected? | Who assembles and removes packing? |
| Dining table | How is the top supported and labeled? | What evidence records edge damage? |
| Bed | Are hardware and instructions matched to cartons? | Who checks missing parts? |
| Mixed order | Who creates the consolidated packing list? | Who owns a missing carton? |
Make a carton map
Connect product ID, room, carton number, gross dimensions and weight. Pre-shipment photos should show labels and vulnerable details before closure. For multiple factories, choose one party to reconcile carton counts at consolidation, while preserving the identity of the contracting seller for each line. Ask whether an independent inspection can happen before packing; checking a sealed carton is less useful for visible workmanship.
Write down the shipping handover point and named destination. Ask a freight specialist to estimate the route, insurance options and import charges. A phrase like “door to door” is not enough to establish who handles duties, residential unloading or inside-room delivery. Retain the packing list and arrival photographs for any claim.
Decision
Mlissia may be the right furniture source when it can provide product-specific export packing and a clear seller contact. For a mixed package, compare George's broader coordination or a desk such as ZOMO. The best route is the one that preserves traceability from approved item to installed room. The delivery and after-sales guide covers the next handoff.
